The Manor House stands on Gallanach Road at the southern edge of Oban's harbour, a Georgian house built in 1780 for the 5th Duke of Argyll and now run as an owner-operated guest house. Its period-style bedrooms, most with en suite bathrooms, look out over Oban Bay towards the islands of Kerrera, Lismore and Mull, and public rooms retain original features including a drawing room fireplace and a restored dining room used for breakfast.

An adjoining bar and a terrace over the bay give guests a quiet spot to watch the ferries come and go, and staff are known locally for their knowledge of the region's whisky and day-trip options. Private parking is included, a genuine advantage on Oban's often congested seafront.

The short walk into Oban's town centre puts the harbour, railway station, distillery and restaurants all within easy reach, while the setting itself, away from the busiest stretch of the Esplanade, gives a calmer, more residential feel than hotels closer to the ferry terminal.
