Diamond Caravan and Camping Park

Oxfordshire

Family park with a heated outdoor pool at Bletchingdon, five miles north of Oxford

About Diamond Caravan and Camping Park

Diamond Park lies just outside the village of Bletchingdon, roughly five miles north of Oxford and eight miles south of Bicester, on the eastern fringe of the Cotswolds. It has been run by the same family for decades and has the settled, well-maintained feel that comes with that. The setting is gentle farmland with wide views, and the A34 and M40 are both close enough to make it an easy stop for anyone touring the area rather than only visiting the city.

There is room for around thirty-seven touring units and the same number of tents, with hardstandings available and sixteen-amp electric hook-ups on all pitches. Two modern sanitary blocks provide showers and heated family bathrooms, and the laundry areas have a freezer, a microwave and an iron. Free wi-fi covers the park. The stand-out facility is the heated outdoor swimming pool, which is unusual for a site of this size in Oxfordshire and makes a real difference on a hot week. There is also a children's play area, a games room, a small shop selling essentials and gas, and a bar. Dogs are welcome and rallies are taken.

The park is open from March to October, and prices are among the more reasonable in the county. For visiting Oxford, the Pear Tree Park and Ride is a short drive south and takes you into the centre without touching the city's traffic filters; Blenheim Palace at Woodstock is about ten minutes away in the other direction, and Bicester Village, the Rollright Stones and the southern Cotswold villages are all comfortable half-day trips. The village pub is walkable and there is fishing and a golf course within a couple of miles.
