Dennis Cove Campsite
Cornwall
A traditional tents-and-hookup site a ten-minute walk from Padstow Harbour
About Dennis Cove Campsite
Dennis Cove Campsite sits on the edge of Padstow itself, a short and level walk from the harbour along the Camel Trail, making it the closest camping option to the town centre. It is a deliberately traditional site: a sloping field with estuary views, modern shower and toilet blocks, and none of the entertainment or amusements found at larger family parks further inland.
Pitches are aimed at tents, campervans and small motorhomes rather than large touring caravans, and the site is popular with walkers and cyclists using the Camel Trail as well as families wanting a simple, no-frills base close to the town. Electric hook-up is available on a proportion of pitches for an additional charge, and dogs are welcome for a small nightly fee.
Because of its size and its proximity to Padstow, Dennis Cove books up quickly for July and August, and early reservation is strongly recommended for anyone wanting to stay here in peak season. Its position within walking distance of the harbour, restaurants and shops makes it particularly well suited to visitors without a car, or those who would rather leave the car behind for the duration of their stay.
