Tweedside Caravan Park is a small, family-run touring and camping ground on Montgomery Street in Innerleithen, on the banks of the Tweed around six miles from Peebles. It is a much lower-key operation than the larger parks closer to Peebles itself, offering touring and camping pitches, cosy pods and static caravan hire on a single riverside site that has been run locally for years. The park opens for the season from March to October, which fits the typical touring and camping pattern for this part of the Borders.
On-site facilities cover the basics expected of a small touring park, including toilets, bathrooms and a laundrette, and the park's own Tow-Bar pub serves food and drinks seasonally, giving guests somewhere to eat without needing to drive into Innerleithen or Peebles for every meal. The riverside setting is a particular draw for anglers fishing the Tweed, and the flat, walkable village centre of Innerleithen, with its shops and the Traquair Arms pub, is close by for anything the site itself doesn't cover.
The park's location makes it a sensible base for splitting time between Peebles and the wider Tweed Valley, with Traquair House, one of Scotland's oldest inhabited houses, a short drive away, and Glentress Forest reachable in ten minutes or so by car. It suits visitors after a straightforward, unfussy riverside pitch with a genuinely local feel, rather than a larger resort-style park, and works well as a quieter alternative to staying in Peebles itself while remaining close enough to use the town freely.
