Graffham Camping and Caravanning Club Site
West Sussex
Well-equipped club site in the South Downs near Petworth and Graffham
About Graffham Camping and Caravanning Club Site
Graffham Camping and Caravanning Club Site sits in a secluded spot within the South Downs National Park, a short drive from Petworth, and is one of the better-equipped options in the area for anyone travelling with a caravan or motorhome rather than just a tent. The 90-pitch site takes tents, caravans, motorhomes, trailer tents and rooftop tents, with a mix of grass-only pitches and grass pitches offering electric hookup, including larger bays for bigger units.
The amenities block is modern, with flushing toilets, showers and accessible facilities alongside a parent-and-baby room, washing machines and dishwashing facilities. Wi-fi is available across the site, and there is a small on-site shop for essentials, along with an ice-pack freezing service that is useful for longer stays. Dogs are welcome throughout the site, making it a straightforward option for those touring with pets.
The surrounding countryside is walking and cycling territory first and foremost, with countless paths threading out from the site into the Downs, and the location makes a good touring base for Petworth, Goodwood, Midhurst and Chichester, all within half an hour's drive. As a club site it is open to non-members as well as members, though members benefit from lower nightly rates, and given its popularity with walkers and touring caravanners, booking ahead for peak season is worthwhile.
