River Tilt Caravan Park sits beside the River Tilt at Blair Atholl, close to Blair Castle and around seven miles north of Pitlochry, in a quieter and more intimate setting than some of the larger parks in the immediate area. Pitches run along the riverbank and into adjoining grassland, with the sound of the river a constant backdrop and good tree cover giving shelter from the wind that can funnel down the glen.
The park takes touring caravans, motorhomes and tents, with electric hook-up available on the majority of pitches, along with clean shower and toilet facilities and a small shop for basics. Its position at the mouth of Glen Tilt makes it a useful base for walkers heading up the glen towards the Cairngorms, while Blair Atholl's shops, hotel and railway station are all within easy walking distance, and Pitlochry itself is a short drive or train journey south.
The park generally operates from spring to autumn, and its smaller scale and riverside setting tend to suit couples and walkers looking for a quieter alternative to the busier sites closer to Pitlochry town centre, while still keeping the convenience of a nearby village and station.
