Haven Hotel

Sandbanks, tip of the peninsula · Hotel

A four-star hotel at the very tip of Sandbanks, beside the chain ferry, with sea views, a spa and a well-regarded seafood restaurant.

About Haven Hotel

The Haven Hotel sits at the southernmost point of the Sandbanks peninsula, right beside the chain ferry crossing to Studland, giving it one of the most distinctive settings of any hotel on the south coast with water on almost every side. The hotel has occupied this spot for well over a century, and its 84 rooms and two suites, spread across three floors, largely make the most of that position with sea or harbour-facing views.

Facilities run to a heated indoor plunge pool, sauna, steam room and a seasonal outdoor pool surrounded by loungers, alongside the Point Restaurant, which serves locally sourced seafood with uninterrupted views out over the harbour mouth and Purbeck Hills. The hotel also has direct access to the beach for anyone wanting to walk straight from their room to the sand.

Its location at the ferry crossing makes it a useful base for exploring the Isle of Purbeck as well as Poole itself, and the combination of spa facilities, restaurant and setting has made it a long-standing favourite for both short breaks and special occasions on this stretch of coast.
