Constable Burton Hall Caravan Park
North Yorkshire
Peaceful touring park in parkland near Leyburn, ten miles from Richmond
About Constable Burton Hall Caravan Park
Constable Burton Hall Caravan Park occupies part of the mature parkland surrounding Constable Burton Hall, close to Leyburn and around ten miles from Richmond at the entrance to Wensleydale. The former deer park setting gives the site a spacious, wooded feel that is unusual for a touring park, with pitches spread out among mature trees and open lawns rather than packed onto a flat field.
The park caters for touring caravans and motorhomes, with individual electric hook-up points included in the pitch price, hot and cold shower and washing facilities, and free wi-fi across the site. There is no shop or children's play area on site, which keeps the atmosphere quiet and adult-friendly, though the Wyvill Arms pub sits directly opposite the entrance for evening meals, and Leyburn's shops and services are a short drive away.
Dogs are welcome on leads throughout the park, and the site operates a 24-hour barrier with an on-site warden for security and peace of mind. Open from early March to the end of October, it makes a good base for exploring both Wensleydale and Swaledale, with Bedale, Middleham and Richmond itself all within easy reach by car.
