Orchard Caravan Park

North Yorkshire

Riverside park in the heart of Reeth village, Swaledale, nine miles from Richmond

About Orchard Caravan Park

Orchard Caravan Park sits at the edge of Reeth village in the heart of Swaledale, around nine miles west of Richmond, in an idyllic riverside setting beside the Swale. It is a small, family-run site offering touring caravan and motorhome pitches alongside static caravans for hire, and its position puts guests within walking distance of Reeth's village green, pubs and tearooms rather than out in open countryside.

Facilities are simple but well kept, with clean shower blocks, free hairdryers, and hook-up available on touring pitches; the park does not take large family tents, so it suits caravans, motorhomes and campervans rather than groups pitching tents. The riverside position makes it popular with walkers tackling the surrounding fells and the Coast to Coast path, which passes close to Reeth, and dogs are welcome throughout.

There is no shop on site, but Reeth's village stores, butcher and several pubs are a short walk away, making the park a practical, low-key base for exploring upper Swaledale towards Muker and Keld as well as day trips back down the dale into Richmond. Its consistently high visitor ratings reflect a friendly, well-run park rather than an elaborate one.
