Woodhouse Farm Holiday Park

I can’t recomend this place enough. From the minute we got there the staff were lovely and helpful. The place is so clean, to say there is only one toilet block, you wouldn’t know, it’s kept really clean. Lots of play areas for little ones which is great. The barn restaurant on site, the food is delicious and again the staff were great, we had got there later than hoped the first night and my 18month old was starving, so they did her food before ours 💕 Great to have pool table and table tennis for the older kids and a soft play and climbing wall. Bank holiday weekend they had some live music on and a food van that again was delicious! We will 100% be back. Thank you

Beautiful camp site, the facilities are great. We loved how the tents are located, very easy to make new friends with fellow campers. The onsite pub was a real let down, bank holiday weekend. One night food stopped and only option was a burger van with limited menu. The next night food stopped at 4 for a pub quiz. Quite a few campers I spoke to all said the same.

Went over BH weekend and really enjoyed this campsite. Mixture of pods, caravans, static and tents, with a nice site layout and decent space between plots and large open areas for ball games. Site includes a small woodland and great location to nearby places like Fountains Abbey. The site is very family friendly, with a few outdoor play areas, indoor play barn (soft play, pool and seating) and child height wash/toilet facilities which is a real nice touch, don't see that in many places. Another thing not seen in other campsites is a clean and modern toilet block with warm, unlimited showers. No 50p or token machines in sight! Rarity with the campsites I usually go to. As is the warm-only taps for washing up (no mixer for shower or washing up, it's warm or nothing). There's also an onsite pub and small shop selling the basics. They appear to take care in the environment, have recycling facilities and encourage wildlife with information boards and looked after grounds. If I have to give some negatives (nit picking); - the taps in the toilet block are completely useless. No water pressure and temperature adjustment doesn't appear to do anything. Most of the time was a dribble and I ended up using the children's sinks in the room adjacent. Don't need to be fancy hands free, just standard push taps would work fine. - Pub prices were steep, but that's probably just me. - Finally, while having hot water only was great most of the time, occasionally the showers and washing up sinks got too hot, nearly too hot to touch, and some cold on a mixer tap would have been preferred. Overall very good, family friendly site which I hope to come back to in the future. It clearly shows they reinvest back into the site. The negatives are small really, so more like 4.5/5 :)

nice place surrounded by natural forest. good size fishing lake, indoor soft play for kids and a good pub located on site, makes it one of the best campsites in this region. will definitelly come back again.
