Coombe Touring Park

Wiltshire

Family-run touring park on the edge of Salisbury, close to Stonehenge

About Coombe Touring Park

Coombe Touring Park sits on the western edge of Salisbury at Netherhampton, within easy reach of both the cathedral city and Stonehenge, and has been run by the same family for several decades. The park is tree-lined and spread across sloping ground with a mix of hard standing and grass pitches, giving a reasonable amount of shelter and privacy between vans and tents rather than the open, exposed feel of some touring parks nearby.

Facilities include a heated toilet and shower block, a campers' kitchen with microwaves and cooking rings, a laundry room, and a small on-site shop selling essentials, fresh bread and cakes daily through the main season. A children's play area with basketball and table tennis keeps younger visitors occupied, and there is a barbecue area for warm evenings. Electric hook-up is available on the majority of pitches, though hard standing is limited and worth booking ahead for larger motorhomes.

The park is well placed for both car-based sightseeing and quieter walking, with footpaths leading out across the surrounding farmland and a bus route into Salisbury city centre a short walk away. Well-behaved dogs are welcome throughout, and the park notably does not charge the peak-season supplements some nearby sites add for bank holidays and school holidays.
