Spacious club site at Hudson's Field, a mile and a half from the cathedral

About Salisbury Camping and Caravanning Club Site

This Camping and Caravanning Club site occupies Hudson's Field on Castle Road, a mile and a half north of Salisbury city centre and within sight of the Iron Age earthworks at Old Sarum. The setting is open and grassy with wide views across the surrounding countryside, and the roughly 150 pitches are spread generously enough that the site rarely feels crowded even at the height of summer.

The site offers a good standard of facilities typical of the club's network, including modern toilet and shower blocks, hard standing and grass pitches with electric hook-up, and space for tents, caravans, motorhomes and campervans alike. Its position just off the ring road makes it an easy base for driving out to Stonehenge, which lies a short distance north-west, while a footpath and bus route give access into the city centre without needing the car.

Dogs are welcome on site, and the open aspect over the plain makes for pleasant early morning and evening walks straight from the pitch. The site operates year-round, which makes it one of the more reliable options for anyone wanting to visit Salisbury outside the main summer season, though as with all Camping and Caravanning Club sites, non-members pay a small premium over the member rate.
