Jacobs Mount Holiday Park
North Yorkshire
A family-run woodland park on Scarborough's edge, with touring pitches and a pub on site
About Jacobs Mount Holiday Park
Jacobs Mount sits on Stepney Road on the western edge of Scarborough, close to the A170 and within easy reach of both the town centre and the Forge Valley National Nature Reserve. Family-run and set among mature woodland, the park mixes static caravans for sale with a touring section for visiting caravans, motorhomes and tents, giving it a settled, established feel rather than a purely transient camping ground.
On-site facilities include Jacobs Tavern, an on-site pub with pool tables that serves as a natural gathering point in the evenings, along with a small shop for essentials, two launderettes with pay-as-you-go machines, and two separate children's play areas split by age group so younger and older children each get their own space. Touring pitches have electric hook-up available, and the park's woodland setting gives a good deal more shelter and privacy than an open coastal site.
The park runs a ten-month season, and its position just outside Scarborough means a short drive gets you into town, the beaches or out towards the Moors, while the site itself stays quiet and sheltered. It suits families wanting a base with some on-site entertainment laid on, including dog owners, without being directly on the seafront.
