Scarborough Camping and Caravanning Club Site
North Yorkshire
A 290-pitch club site on the edge of Scarborough, two miles from the seafront
About Scarborough Camping and Caravanning Club Site
Run by the Camping and Caravanning Club on Burniston Road, this extensive site sits around two miles north of Scarborough town centre, close to the village of Scalby and within easy reach of Forge Valley and the North Bay beaches. The 290 pitches are spread across well-placed facility blocks, with a mix of grass pitches, grass pitches with electric hook-up, hardstanding pitches with electric, and larger jumbo pitches for bigger units, so it works equally well for a small tent or a large motorhome.
On-site facilities are comprehensive: flushing toilets, showers including family shower rooms, a motorhome service point, laundry and dishwashing areas, an on-site shop, and a children's play area. There is a dedicated dog walk for site users travelling with pets, and the site has its own club Wi-Fi. A bus stop directly outside the site gives a straightforward run into Scarborough without needing the car, and the nearest railway station is about four miles away.
The site is open from late March to late October and takes tents, caravans, motorhomes, trailer tents and rooftop tents. Non-members can book as well as club members, at a slightly higher nightly rate. It suits families and couples who want a well-run, straightforward base close to Scarborough's beaches and the castle, without the extras of a large holiday park.
