Weston Hotel
The Esplanade, South Cliff · Hotel
A family-run Victorian hotel on the Esplanade with sea-view rooms and an AA Rosette restaurant, opposite the cliff lift.
About Weston Hotel
The Weston occupies a Victorian building on the Esplanade, South Cliff, directly opposite Scarborough's cliff lift and looking out across South Bay. Family-run rather than part of a chain, it has been steadily refurbished while keeping the character of the original building, and most of its 32 en-suite rooms make the most of the sea-view position.
Cecil's Seaview Restaurant holds an AA Rosette, a notch above the standard hotel dining found along much of the Esplanade, and the Lounge & Library bar gives a quieter alternative to the town's livelier venues. Lift access to most floors is a practical plus in a row of hotels that are often stairs-only.
It suits couples and small groups wanting a well-run, sea-view hotel within a few minutes of the cliff lift and South Bay beach, with a genuine restaurant on site rather than a basic hotel dining room.
