Minmore House
Glenlivet, Speyside · Hotel
A small country house hotel in the grounds of the Glenlivet distillery, with an outdoor pool and an extensive malt whisky collection.
About Minmore House
Minmore House was once the private residence of the founder of the Glenlivet distillery, and it still sits within sight of the distillery buildings in the quiet hills above the Livet Water. The house has been run as a small country hotel for decades, keeping the feel of a lived-in Highland home rather than a formal hotel.
Bedrooms are individually decorated in a traditional style, with open fires in the public rooms and an outdoor heated pool in the garden, unusual for a Speyside property of this size. The bar holds one of the more serious whisky collections in the area, with a particular depth of Glenlivet bottlings alongside malts from across the region.
Dinner is served to a set menu using local game, beef and seafood, and the hotel's remote setting makes it a good base for walking in the surrounding Glenlivet estate as well as for whisky touring, being close to several distilleries along the upper Spey.
