Polmanter Touring Park occupies a rural site around a mile and a half inland from St Ives, giving it a quieter, greener setting than the parks closer to the beaches while still keeping the town within easy reach by bike, on foot along the connecting path, or on the regular local bus that stops at the entrance. The park has built a strong reputation over many years for its combination of well-maintained pitches and a genuinely broad range of on-site facilities.
Pitches include multi-serviced and electric-only hardstanding and grass options for touring caravans, motorhomes and tents, and new safari-tent glamping has been added for guests who want a fixed-up alternative to bringing their own kit. The park's twenty-metre heated outdoor pool runs through the summer months, and families are further catered for with an indoor soft-play and climbing-wall area, tennis courts and a small mini-golf course. A shop stocking Cornish produce and camping essentials, an on-site bar and restaurant, and a dedicated dog exercise field with its own shower round out the facilities.
The park's popularity means advance booking for July and August is essential, but its size and range of pitch types mean it can usually accommodate everything from a single backpacking tent to a large family caravan, making it one of the more versatile touring bases in the St Ives area.
