My fiancé and I had a lovely stay here! The shepherds huts are great value for money. They are clean and well equipped. The location is perfect. The beds could do with being updated as not very comfortable but for £60 can’t really complain! Will definitely be coming back here :)

We stayed week commencing 18th May 2026 When taking into consideration the cost, the accommodation was very satisfactory. The grounds are splendid, and the site extremely quiet which is to be expected in a deep rural location. The hotub was excessively hot set at 38 degrees which is very uncomfortable Whilst it was dry for the majority of the week, but when it does rain, having no pathway to front door is a bit messy! Lodge was clean, but a few cobwebs at height All in all a satisfactory holiday

Beautiful lodges off main road so peaceful. Had own shop which was a bonus too. ALL staff were really nice and friendly. We stayed in the smallest lodge, despite being smallest it was spacious. Bed was very comfy. Bathroom was huge but could do with a shelf unit near bath/toilet. Hot tub was nice (lets be honest its main reason most people go). The site was well kept with plenty of parking. One thing i would say is could do with a parasol on decking to give some shade when sunny apart from that was lovely.

Overall we had a nice time this bank holiday weekend. The lodge was lovely and well equipped, BUT the air conditioning may as well been decorative; didn’t work at all. Sleeping was impossible with all the heat even with windows open and the bed itself was rock solid, the pillows slid around too? We also had this odd damp sewagey smell which was very unpleasant. My partner and I ended up leaving very early in the morning due to being unable to sleep All of that aside the hot tub was a lovely addition to the lodge with the small amount of sun we had that weekend.
