Hillside Caravan Park
North Yorkshire
Award-winning touring park and glamping pods near Knayton, outside Thirsk
About Hillside Caravan Park
Hillside Caravan Park sits on nine acres of landscaped ground just outside Knayton village, a few miles north of Thirsk and within easy reach of Northallerton too. Set back from the road with open views toward the Hambleton Hills, it has built a reputation locally as one of the better-appointed touring parks in the area, regularly picking up strong guest reviews for its facilities and upkeep.
The park offers around fifty hardstanding pitches for touring caravans and motorhomes, all with electric hook-up, alongside a small collection of Mega Pods and Deluxe Mega Pods for those wanting a glamping stay without towing their own outfit. A modern shower and toilet block anchors the site's facilities hub, supplemented by a pot-wash and ironing room, a dog-wash station and dedicated dog walking areas, while an on-site shop stocks essentials and local produce for guests who would rather not drive into Thirsk for supplies.
Children and dogs are both explicitly welcomed, and the park's position just off the A19 corridor makes it a straightforward base for exploring Thirsk, the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales without committing to a fully rural, facility-light site. A self-catering cottage on site, along with a sister collection of holiday lodges nearby, gives Hillside a broader range of stay types than most touring parks in the immediate Thirsk area.
