Warwick Racecourse Caravan and Motorhome Club Site

Warwickshire

A touring site inside Warwick Racecourse, a fifteen-minute walk from the castle

About Warwick Racecourse Caravan and Motorhome Club Site

This Caravan and Motorhome Club site sits within the grounds of Warwick Racecourse itself, making it one of the few touring campsites genuinely walkable into a historic town centre. The pitches are laid out on grass and tarmac hardstanding across the racecourse infield, giving a wide open, well-kept setting with mature trees around the boundary and views towards the grandstands. It is a popular stop for members touring the Cotswolds and Shakespeare's Warwickshire circuit, thanks to its position just off the M40 and the ease of walking into Warwick for the castle, the shops and the pubs without needing to drive.

The site offers fifty-six pitches, the majority with sixteen-amp electric hook-up, suitable for caravans, motorhomes and small campervans; tents are not accepted. Facilities include a modern toilet and shower block with a disabled shower room, water points, a chemical disposal point and a small area for waste recycling. The racecourse setting also brings access to a nine-hole golf course and driving range on site, along with space used at times for model aircraft flying, and the surrounding parkland makes for pleasant dog walks away from the pitches.

Because the site sits on an active racecourse, arrivals are not accepted on race days themselves, and visitors are asked to arrive the day before a meeting and to check the racecourse calendar before booking a stay that might clash. Outside of race days, it is a straightforward, sociable base for exploring Warwick, with Leamington Spa, Kenilworth Castle and Stratford-upon-Avon all within a short drive, and Hatton Locks on the Grand Union Canal an easy walk or cycle away for those wanting a longer day out.
