The Victoria Inn stands on the edge of the Holkham estate, directly opposite Holkham beach and its national nature reserve, around two miles west of Wells-next-the-Sea. Twenty individually decorated rooms are spread across the main Victoria building and the neighbouring Ancient House, ranging from snug doubles to larger suites, several with dog-friendly arrangements reflecting the hotel's Norfolk estate roots. The restaurant places a strong emphasis on produce grown or reared on the wider Holkham estate, served in a relaxed but polished dining room, and four bespoke shepherd's huts in the grounds offer a more informal alternative to a standard hotel room. The hotel has received recognition for its sustainability efforts, including a Gold Green Tourism award. Guests are effectively staying within one of Norfolk's grandest private estates, with direct access to Holkham Hall's parkland, walled garden and the vast beach on the doorstep, while Wells itself, with its harbour and shops, is a short drive or a longer coastal walk away.
