About Hurley Riverside Park
Hurley Riverside Park occupies a long stretch of the Thames bank at Hurley, between Marlow and Maidenhead, and has been run by the same family for decades. The land runs down to the water through open meadow and mature trees, with two slipways for launching boats, riverside picnic areas and a nature trail around the margins. It is the nearest proper touring park to Windsor of any size, roughly eleven miles by road, and reception sells discounted Legoland tickets for guests heading that way.
Pitching is split between fields. Electric hook-up pitches are grouped in the Pine field, with non-electric grass pitching in the Paddock for those who want something simpler and cheaper. Tents, trailer tents, caravans, motorhomes and larger American RVs are all taken, and there are hire caravans and holiday cottages on site for anyone without their own kit. Facilities are better than the setting suggests: three heated shower blocks with hairdryers and shaver points, family shower rooms, an accessible bathroom, a coin-operated launderette, EV charging points and the usual grey water and chemical disposal.
The on-site reception and shop opens through the day and stocks food, toiletries, ice cream, charcoal, coffee and dog food. There is a children's playground with a mini assault course, swings, a climbing frame, table tennis and football goals. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome per pitch, and the park lays on a riverside exercise field, a dog shower and free waste bags. Paid premium wi-fi is available. Hurley village itself is a five-minute walk, with a couple of pubs and a Norman church, and the Thames Path runs straight through the site in both directions.
