AA 5-Pennant holiday park with lake, golf and touring pitches near Waldringfield
About Moon and Sixpence
Moon and Sixpence is a large, long-established holiday park set in over 200 acres of landscaped grounds at Waldringfield, a few miles from Woodbridge on the banks of the River Deben. Best known locally for its lake with a sandy beach, the park combines around 50 touring pitches with static holiday homes and lodges, and has held an AA 5-Pennant Premier Park award for its facilities and upkeep.
On-site amenities are extensive for a touring stopover, including the lake and beach, a 9-hole golf course, tennis and other sports courts, woodland and cycle trails, a restaurant, bar and lounge, and a small shop selling essentials, fresh bread and ice creams. Electric hookups and wi-fi are available across the touring area, and dogs are welcome throughout the park, making it a practical choice for families and dog owners alike.
Waldringfield itself is a pretty riverside village with its own pub and sailing club, and the park's position close to the Deben makes it a good base for sailing, walking and cycling as well as day trips into Woodbridge, Sutton Hoo and the Suffolk coast. The scale of the site and its range of on-site activities suit longer family stays as much as a simple overnight touring stop.
