Lucksall Holiday Park
Herefordshire
A 23-acre riverside park on the Wye at Mordiford, near Hereford and the valley's northern reaches
About Lucksall Holiday Park
Lucksall sits directly on the banks of the River Wye at Mordiford, close to Fownhope and a short drive from Hereford, at the northern end of the wider Wye Valley. The 23-acre park has held a five-star Visit England rating and gives direct access onto the river for canoe and kayak launches, which makes it a natural choice for anyone building a trip around paddling rather than just walking.
Facilities are more extensive than many of the valley's smaller sites: a riverside bar and eatery, an on-site shop, a children's play area and modern shower and toilet blocks all sit within the park, alongside access to more than 90 acres of surrounding woodland and marked walking routes. Pitches cover fully serviced touring and motorhome bases, camping pitches and glamping pods, plus a separate area of holiday homes for owners, so the site has a slightly larger, more amenity-driven feel than a simple farm campsite.
Dogs are welcome throughout the touring and camping areas, and a bus stop at the park entrance gives an option for reaching Hereford without a car. It suits families and paddlers wanting a well-equipped base on the river more than those after a quiet, back-to-basics pitch.
