Lovely bank holiday weekend stay, we took our tourer & had a hot tub pitch. Everything was perfect & exactly what we were looking for to get away & relax. The owners where super accommodating & after contacting them to advise we where stuck in traffic without hesitation they set the hot tub up for our arrival which we where super grateful for. We will definitely be back was a perfect weekend away with the hubby to relax!

Pod is really nice, as is the hot tub and idyllic surroundings. Shame about the lack of hot water. The poor rating is from the owner, who rang red flags with me the moment we arrived by laying down the law about exactly where I should park (in an empty field), then talking us through the two pages of A4 worth of rules and saying that she’s “anti woke”, and telling me that I’ll be sorting the fire not my partner because she “believes in pink and blue jobs”. She also told us that she’d be checking up on us while we were in the hot tub to make sure we weren’t using glasses to drink from. So much for privacy, and this was just the start of it. On our second evening there, we politely asked to use the EV charger. She then quoted us a price way in excess of what it’d cost to charge, so I decided not to. Next morning, we drove out into the city. Upon arrival I got two missed phone calls and a message, so I returned her call to be extremely rudely accused of parking my car up the track to the cabin (pretty sure the car wouldn’t fit up said small track) to STEAL her electricity to charge my car. I’d dared to park at 90 degrees to where she’d told me to (again, in an empty field), so she’d somehow decided I was a thief and therefore needed telling off down the phone. After this, I sent her a screenshot of my cars tracker, and one of the app it was using to charge it. In return, nothing. No apology, no acceptance of her misunderstanding, just silence. We cut our trip a day early to avoid her and the mosquitoes that were continuously biting us - we couldn’t have a citronella candle on because that’s against the rules. Unsure which was worse, her or the mossies. Wish I’d read the Google reviews before booking, there’s several mentioning her being this rude. We didn’t bother telling her we’d left early because according to another Google review she screamed at a couple for saying they were doing so. I look forward to reading her reply to this, as she seems to get very riled up in the reviews too.

Just returned from another brilliant stay at this lovely site. We had a hard standing hot tub pitch bringing our tourer caravan. The site owners are friendly and helpful. The site itself is small, peaceful and well maintained. Perfect location for getting into York centre. I'd highly recommend 👌

we stayed in Morning Mist for our anniversary. Kim and Graham were absolutely brilliant, really friendly and helpful. Morning Mist is beautiful and in a great peaceful private position on the site. It's a great place to stay for couples. It's really comfortable and well equipped. The hot tub was great, nice and warm, and available all year round. We would highly recommend staying here, and we'll definitely be looking at booking again. Definitely 5 stars.
