Symbister Suite occupies the first floor of Delgatie Castle's north wing, a sprawling country estate surrounded by fields and forest near Turriff. You arrive into a lived-in space: a sitting room without television, a kitchen and dining area, three bedrooms, a shower room and a separate toilet. The bedrooms hold a four-poster double bed (4ft 6in), two single beds in one room, and a single bed in another, sleeping five altogether. Everything you need to cook is here—electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer—and the essentials (heating, electricity, bed linen, towels, wifi) are provided.
The property has its own garden area with a BBQ and accesses a shared enclosed lawn and the wider estate grounds. There is parking on site. The castle itself remains open to the public and operates a tea room; the grounds hold an unfenced pool about 100 yards from the suite, which is worth knowing if you are travelling with young children. Turriff, three miles away, offers fishing, golf courses, a boating lake, putting green, tennis, bowls, riding, shooting, indoor sports facilities and a swimming pool complex. The surrounding area has castles, stately homes, museums, heritage centres, coastal villages, nature reserves and distilleries within reach. No smoking.
