What visitors say
Stayed here for one night on our NC 500 trip. Check-in was very quick and friendly. The site is very well kept with spacious plots. Lovely toilet/shower block which was very clean. Plenty of showers and a hairdryer should you need it. There is a separate disabled block with toilet and shower facilities. We were leaving as the main block was being cleaned so we were able to use the disabled facilities. We walked into the village where there is a shop and pub. We had a drink in the sunny beer garden of the Kinlochewe Hotel which was lovely but lots of midgies so take spray. Check out was 12 noon which was later than other sites. Would definitely stay here again.

Disclaimer: we did not actually stay at this campsite, so this review is not about the facilities. I'm writing it as a heads-up for NC500 cyclists, walkers and other travellers who may be planning their day around staying here. After a long day cycling in persistent rain, we arrived at around 19:20. The posted latest arrival time was 19:00, so we understood we were late and were not demanding special treatment. We explained that we had been delayed by the weather and by a knee injury, and asked whether there was any possibility of a tent pitch. The response was that we were "way too late" and that no arrivals would be accepted. I fully appreciate that campsites have rules, staffing constraints and check-in hours. My disappointment was not with the rule itself, but with the complete lack of flexibility or understanding. What made this stand out even more was that it was completely at odds with our experience elsewhere in Scotland. During a 10-day tour we met incredibly helpful and welcoming people in villages, campsites, shops, post offices and even on farms. Time and again people went out of their way to help. This was the only interaction on the entire trip that felt unfriendly and dismissive. In the end we found somewhere else to stay and the trip continued without issue. My advice to anyone travelling the NC500 or touring by bike is simply not to rely on arriving close to the stated check-in cutoff, even if your delay is only minor and due to circumstances outside your control.

A very good motorhome site. Easy to get to, a little bit out of the way though. Good level pitches with good clean toilet facilities. With friendly and helpful staff. A couple of easy walks from site, plus local petrol station. Would recommend

Good view. Power cut meant no power available from 6pm until following morning. Cleaning is until midday from 11am (time of last checkout is midday) probably should change that? That and they decided to clean 30 minutes early... Considering this was the most expensive site out of all of them this place doesn't deserve more than 1 star.
