About Cross Keys Inn
The Cross Keys is one of Aldeburgh's oldest pubs, a sixteenth-century building only steps from the shingle at the southern end of town. Low beams, a cosy bar and a well-kept range of real ales give it a genuine local feel that draws fishermen, sailors and visitors alike.
Food centres on fresh fish and seafood, unsurprising given the boats drawn up on the beach just outside, and the small number of bedrooms upstairs are simple, comfortable and well suited to guests who want to be by the sea without paying for a grand hotel.
Its position near the southern beach and the Moot Hall makes it a convenient, characterful base for a short coastal stay.

Nice place for a drink, but avoid the food. Was served the most revolting 50p gnocchi from co-op floating in some sauce that once saw a mushroom and some strands of frozen spinach. I hardly ate any and complained about it, they still made us pay the £17 menu price. Unbelievable. Leaving 2 stars because the staff was nice, the food deserved 0.

What a little gem of a place just popped in for a cold drink two dogs itow ,chips are amazing huge great big skin on quarter a spud rustic home made, cooked perfect even though some were almost a inch thick definitely recommend 😋

Food not great. Came in for lunch and the sandwiches were limited to about 4 choices. The barman said the jerk chicken sandwich was good. We ordered that but it bore no resemblance to jerk chicken whatsoever. It was more plain chicken in mayo or yoghurt dressing with garlic and bit of spice. Not great. Coffee was horrible from a Machine which tasted like it hadn’t been cleaned properly as it was a bit sweet like hot chocolate and weak coffee. Gay barman very loud and attention seeking.

This was a lovely little pub, had a drink inside and also has a little courtyard outside. The weather was good that day so nice to sit outside in the sun. Only tried the local beer which was nice.
