What visitors say
Beautiful place and we had a wonderful time overall. The campsite itself was lovely, and the majority of the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The only thing that put a dampener on the experience happened when we first arrived. We stopped near reception in what turned out to be an EV charging space while we went in to get directions to our pitch. We had assumed it would be fine for a few minutes, especially as another non-electric vehicle was parked in the adjacent charging bay. As soon as my partner switched off the engine, a member of staff approached the car and knocked on the window. She asked, “Is it electric?” We replied that it wasn’t, and she then asked us to move. Of course, we were happy to do so, but the manner in which she spoke to us felt abrupt and unfriendly. A simple explanation, a polite request, or directions to a more suitable place to park would have made a big difference. First impressions matter, and unfortunately this interaction left us feeling unwelcome at the start of our holiday. Thankfully, every other member of staff we dealt with was excellent and helped ensure we still had a great stay. Despite this, the campsite itself is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Absolutely INCREDIBLE! The grounds were amazing, very spacious. The facility system was great. Car parks were lovely, and whenever you saw the staff they were so kind. We stayed in a pod, so it was very cosy. It was far away from anyone, so it was quiet. Will DEFINITELY come again. Did the Fairfield Horseshoe, which was pleasant, starting off at Nab Scar, ending in Low Pike. Stunning views. ✨⛰️
