A Glorious Summer Visit to Colby Woodland Garden. Visited today in beautiful sunshine and had a fantastic experience. Colby Woodland Garden is full of open spaces, peaceful woodland, and colourful summer planting. The hydrangeas were especially striking — huge, bright blue flower heads dotted throughout the garden and adding real vibrancy to the walk. I really appreciated how many areas were left unmowed, creating natural pockets of wildflowers buzzing with insects. It gave the whole place a relaxed, wildlife‑friendly feel and made the meadows look stunning in the summer light. The route through the garden is easy and enjoyable, and being able to walk straight on into Amroth and down to the beach was a real highlight. Woodland, meadow, then suddenly the sea — a perfect way to end the visit. Facilities were good, with a tea‑room, bookshop, toilets, and clear accessibility information. Plenty of space to sit, wander, or just enjoy the surroundings. Overall, a lovely summer day out with beautiful hydrangeas, wildlife‑rich meadows, and a scenic walk that leads right to the coast. Highly recommended.

£8 car all day or £4 car for 3 hrs or scan Ur national trust card n parking for free. Car park gets very busy. Can park in amroth pay there n walk up to the garden if it's full. Don't forget to get Ur stamp in Ur national trust passport. Dog friendly except walled garden. Pleasant walk down into the wild meadow n up into the woodland got some shade with all this sun. At the end onfthe meadows there is a lovely stream for stormy the dog to have a swim in to cool down. Definitely more woodland than garden. We walked down into the town of amroth down to the sea front 1/2 a mile away dogs can go on the beach to the left n right not in the middle. Dog friendly places to eat we went to the pirate cafe delicious drinks n cakes. We came bk up n had a walk around the walled garden looking at all the plants n the lovely water feature. Not that large. Wish they had more labels for the plants. Dogs not allowed in walled garden. Had a drink at the cafe will definitely come bk to eat some of the cakes looked delicious n big. Toilet up there too. Will come bk n do more of the west woodland and east could definitely spend longer here.

Magical woodland with lots of winding paths, fabulous rare specimen trees and flowering shrubs in unexpected places. The flower meadow is beautiful. Lots of benches to sit and ponder. Didn’t go into the walled garden today because I had my dog with me but that is lovely too.

Other than parking charges it's free admission into the grounds and gardens. Well worth a visit if in the area. We walked up from Amroth so it cost us nothing.
