Whitchurch Spy Mission Treasure Trail

This is a really wonderful and quiet site, run by the very friendly Becki and Steve (daughter and father) who are great to chat to, and whose life choices are inspirational. The facilities are clean, pitches huge, and wildlife abundant. There are really beautiful views from the site, and the wildflower meadows (which are cut into the field) are a lovely addition, undoubtedly enriching the local biodiversity. For example, Buzzards and Red Kites were circling as we arrived, and we heard wrens and owls from our pitch. The location is excellent for walks and cycle rides, and we did a 6.2 mile walk in the early evening last night that involved two pub stop offs! Grateful for the midday check out (rather than 11am- which is often the expectation in other sites), and milk along with excellent coffee from the shepherds’ hut this morning. Looking forward to the arrival of the shop, and potential gluten free treats! We live nearby, and can’t believe that we’ve not discovered it before! Thanks for a wonderful stay and we will be back soon.

Lovely campsite with wildflowers between the pitches. Freshly baked pastries and coffee available for sale in the mornings (except Wednesday). Within walking distance of Danebury Iron Age hill fort. The showers and facilities were lovely,clean and well maintained. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely campsite ran by a father daughter duo. They are both so friendly and helpful, providing lots of info about the local area and local walks. The site is well maintained, clean and spacious and perfectly located for lots of country side walks with plenty of villages and pubs local. The grass wasn’t at full height when we visited May bank holiday. But it still proved enough privacy for us to enough our stay. They allow dogs and campfires too.

Had a really lovely 2 nights here midweek. The site is spacious and thoughtfully maintained and landscaped. The facilities are very good and clean. And the little cafe hut is ideal for morning coffees and pastries too. Really friendly staff also. Would thoroughly recommend.
