About Afon Braint
Mountain views, sandy beaches and a rich cultural heritage – what more do you need to click on the green button and book your spot at adults-only Afon Braint? This peaceful rural site sits on Anglesey's south-eastern corner, within the coastal belt that makes up the Anglesey National Landscape, so close to the Welsh river of the same name and its Giant Rhuddgaer Stepping Stones (15 minutes' walk) that it has borrowed that very name for itself.
On the A4080 road between Niwbwrch and Dwyran, Afon Braint offers spacious gravel touring pitches with optional electric hook-up, plus essentials such as a toilet block, washing-up area and waste disposal points. Spectacular views of Eryri (Snowdonia) accompany meals in the picnic area, and there's also an on-site restaurant with a large patio and covered pods for taking in the mountain vistas whatever the weather. The nearest pub is in Niwbwrch, which also has a fish and chip shop and supermarket.
Windswept strolls await at Newborough Beach nature reserve (15 minutes), with its large dune system, marshes and pine forest, plus tidal Llanddwyn Island (20 minutes) and its lighthouse overlooking the rocky shore.

What visitors say
The stepping stones are not here, about 6 miles away. This takes you to a dead end with some houses and a farm. The stepping stones are at the end of a private drive not too far from the model village. Coordinates of stones are 53.1572552, -4.3361805. Stones are great but not here.

Need to take care as two of the stepping stones in the middle have moved. Check tide times as stones can be covered at high tide

A wonderful experience while circumnavigating the Anglesey coastline path. The stepping stones are HUGE and a leap of faith for anyone with short legs or small children. The crossing is even better when the tide is fully in.

Beautiful - Stepping Stones are part of the Anglesey Coastal Path. This is the fun bit and even the little kids love it.
