About Shepherds Retreat Anglesey

Throw open the door and say good morning to George, Max, Olaf and Nero – the four resident alpacas grazing in the neighbouring field. These adults-only shepherd's huts nestle in rural Anglesey, right on National Cycle Route 5, offering a polished escape for couples. Each hut features a Hypnos double bed with quality linen, an ensuite with shower and heated towel rail, plus both an indoor kitchenette (induction hob, fridge, microwave, full cookware) and an outdoor barbecue area with firepit and seating for alfresco suppers under the stars.

Inside you'll find wifi, a smart TV with Freeview and thoughtful touches like a welcome pack and bathroom essentials. The village of Llanerch-y-medd is a ten-minute stroll for provisions and a pint, while the A55 lies fifteen minutes by car, making Anglesey's sandy beaches an easy twenty-minute drive. Secure bike storage is available on request, ideal for exploring the island's quiet lanes and coastal paths from your alpaca-flanked hideaway.

We stayed at Anglesey Retreat Shepherd huts in June 2024 and had a fantastic stay. The kitchen has everything you need to make a hearty meal (pans, hob, air fryer and microwave), which we thoroughly enjoyed next to the log burner fire. The bed was very comfy and clean. The shower had great smelling shampoo and had flowing hot water. Delicious coffee was included, as was tea, milk and biscuits. We used an EV charging point at the Lidl in Llangefni which was very convenient. Lee and the team were very friendly and helpful, they truly couldn’t do enough for us and were genuinely interested to listen to our plans and give helpful tips on beaches and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again! The highlight of our trip was feeding the alpacas.

Shepherds retreat is a fabulous luxury Glamping hut. The hosts were very welcoming and always on hand to help out when needed. The generous size hot tub was ready for our arrival and and heated up the next day after our bike ride.(the site is situated on one of the Anglesey cycle trails)The hut itself was very comfortable, easy to access and has all the equipment you need for a relaxing stay including a delicious welcome pack. Would love to return. Thankyou.😊 The Alpacas were great 👍 Nero🤎🖤

We would have loved to stay longer than two nights in this cabin in North Wales! It's fantastically equipped and in such a peaceful location. The alpacas kept coming by to say hello. We'll definitely recommend it to everyone! 👍🦙🤎
