What visitors say
This is the 3rd time staying here and we’ve loved it every other time and had no problems. This time was a completely different story. We booked one of the glamping pods (The Hide) as a final getaway before we welcome our baby boy. We had always seen them so close to the beach and thought they looked perfect. How wrong we were… After being at work all day and driving 1h30 and being 7 months pregnant, turning up to a dirty and unkept accommodation was not on the cards. There was marks on the benches and fridge, dog food left on the floor, frozen sausages left in the freezer, bits of wrappers next to the bed and on the benches. Wiping the tv unit it was thick in dust. The toilet was dirty. No inch of the place had been cleaned. On top of that, the upkeep of the pods was not ok. The cupboards had the vinyl wrap hanging off, the curtains were completely stained with something brown, bits of the wardrobes were coming off and the walls were just visibly marked with dirt. They couldn’t offer us any other accommodation due to being fully booked but did offer us a free meal and drinks in the onsite bar whilst they cleaned. The next day the manager of the cleaning staff came to the pod with a box of chocolates to apologise. Whilst the problem was rectified and the pod cleaned, I felt it ruined our break and I couldn’t help but feel unclean. To anyone going to Queensbury Bay don’t book The Hide!

Stunning little caravan park. Exceptionally clean. Very dog friendly and in a beautiful setting right on the shoreline of the solway firth. Friendly welcoming staff and the food in the sandpiper was very tasty too. A perfect place for a relaxing break.

This site is lovely. Our touring pitch was right next to the beach and the views were stunning. The staff on the site were great and the receptionist was welcoming. Taking the time to say hello and the bar service was great. The toilet and showers were clean, spacious and new. A beautiful place to visit for a relaxing break. We loved how quiet at night it was. Our dog loved the exercise area.
