It has nice spread out pitches which have electric as option. Good location, only 20 min walk to Arundel and train station nearby. It's situated behind a Beefeater which served nice beer and food. The toilet block was routinely kept very clean. The owner was very helpful The only criticism is the chemical toilet needs money spent on it,, can you get the water hose working which hangs next to the chemical toilet. Could also do with a proper drain hole for grey water. Also water pressure in mens block on shower was not great. But the location is good

Best camping experience I’ve ever had in all of Kent. The toilets and showers are clean. Plenty of spots to set up camp. Plenty of activities around the area. The host is very friendly and helpful

A well located campsite within a short drive to Arundel and Littlehampton. Finding it is nigh on impossible with any navigation aid, as the entrance is hidden in the corner of the Beefeater carpark, with a tiny sign! Unless you know this you simply will not arrive… Once inside the site appears to be reasonably tidy with an acceptable quantity of water points and electric hookups. I fixed the squirting tap, but my original hookup kept tripping so I switched to another. The washroom block is an attractive 1960s building with very little modernisation by the look of it, which has an adequate amount of facilities, sadly some of them not working, but the remainder appeared clean and tidy. Payment by ‘cash only’ was unexpected and could have been an issue as I only had credit cards. However, the Lady I met was perfectly friendly and helpful in every way, restocking the WCs with loo rolls (there was none) and advising me where replacements were kept. This is an unusual setup as it appears to be mainly inhabited by what appears to be a few contractors old caravans, vans pickup trucks and some road working machinery in one corner, with a row of gleaming twin wheel XXL caravans on another, and I’m pretty sure I know why it’s cash only. This site is not anywhere near as bad as some of the recent reviews suggest, but it urgently requires the plumbing and electrics to be professionally serviced (Non working showers etc) to bring it up to a 4/5 standard a bit of tidying up in respect to a prominent ‘MAYNARDS’ sign or two near the entrance and a bit more attention to detail (strim around campsite fittings, paint concrete washroom floors, refresh signage etc) all which would cost as little as £2000 but lift the ambience of the site right up to the relatively high price being asked. It’s crying out for a little love and professionalism! But would we stay again? Well yes, but more due to the owners friendliness, the easy going nature of arrival/departure times and handy location than the bits and bobs that require attention. There is absolutely nothing that is ‘bad’ here, it just requires a bit of fettling, as it’s perfectly pleasant and good for parking, hooking up and using the working facilities like in any other site. So ignore the negative reviews, it’s fine. It just could be ‘really nice’ I wish the new owners all the very best with their venture. EDIT: I found an unattended tap squirting water over quite a large area and just happened to have a spare rubber washer. I was in the process of fixing it out of kindness when the owners daughter rather rudely told me to get my car off the grass (no sign!) which frankly stunned me! So on reflection I would not recommend or return to this site again. I’m leaving my original review as it is, but her vile attitude probably suggested a more realistic state of affairs.
