Cosy shepherd's huts set on a working farm in the South Downs, next to Arundel. Family-friendly and pets welcome.
About Splash Farm Shepherd's Huts
Tucked into a working farm in the South Downs, Splash Farm Shepherd's Huts offers a genuine countryside escape just outside Arundel. The cosy huts provide a snug base for families and four-legged friends alike, with basic facilities including showers, toilets and drinking water on site. It's a genuinely rural spot—no WiFi here—so you can properly switch off while exploring the downland trails that roll away in every direction.
Arundel itself is barely a stone's throw, making it easy to nip into town for provisions or a pint, then return to the peace of the farm. The setting feels authentically agricultural rather than manicured, which suits those after an unpretentious South Downs stay without unnecessary frills.

Splash Farm was a great place to stop off for a coffee on our bike ride. Yes, it was a machine but with fresh ground coffee and one of the nicest coffees I've had in a long time. There was also the option to buy fresh milk, milkshakes, meat and pies. Unfortunately I didn't have a way of carrying a pie home but I'll be going back to get one (or 2).

We were really excited to visit this milk vending machine, and it definitely didn’t disappoint! The shop is set on a small working farm with a warm, cosy atmosphere that makes you feel instantly welcome. The vending machine itself is housed in a charming barn, complete with seating and a great selection of local treats for sale. The process of getting the bottles and milk was super simple, and very reasonably priced too. The milkshakes were absolutely delicious, easily some of the best we’ve tried! We also loved being able to see some of the cows relaxing in the barn, which made the experience even more special. A huge shout-out to the lovely lady who helped us with the machine, she was so friendly and clearly passionate about what she does. Overall, a wonderful visit, we’ll definitely be back

Amazing little family run dairy with an automated service for raw and parsturised milk, honey, eggs, coffee, cakes and more. This was my first time there and help was soon on hand to steer me in the right direction. Will visit again soon

We didn’t stay at the shepherds huts, but instead visited the milk vending machine and just wanted to say how nice the place was. Such a warm welcome from 3 different people in about 5min all checking we were OK and showing us around. If you are staying at the huts you’re in for a treat; they look immaculate and in just the most peaceful place. The vending machine cart shed is so well done - milk,(raw and pasteurised), milkshakes, coffee, cakes and loads for information. Go and visit a real farm and taste amazing milk.
