Glanllyn Lakeside Caravan and Camping Park
Gwynedd
Touring and tent pitches with direct access to Bala Lake's shore
About Glanllyn Lakeside Caravan and Camping Park
Glanllyn sits on the southern shore of Llyn Tegid, with a footpath running along the water into Bala itself and direct access to the lake for wild swimming, fishing and launching small boats. Touring caravans and motorhomes are given hard-standing or grass pitches with a 16-amp electric hook-up, while tents have their own separate area, and small campervans can choose between electric or non-electric grass pitches depending on preference.
The amenity blocks are biomass-heated and provide free hot showers, basins and toilets around the clock, along with a well-stocked on-site shop for groceries, gas and camping essentials, a laundry room and a motorhome service point. A children's play area and a dedicated dog-walking area sit away from the main pitches, and the park also has an electric vehicle charging point and wheelchair-accessible facilities.
The park deliberately keeps a family and couples atmosphere, so stag and hen parties and adult-only groups are not accepted, and grass pitches for caravans are capped at a maximum stay of seven nights during peak season. Its position right on the lake, with boat launching and fishing rights included, makes it the natural choice for anyone whose holiday centres on being on or in the water rather than simply near it.
