About Abercelyn Country House
Abercelyn is an eighteenth-century Grade II listed former rectory in the hamlet of Llanycil, set in award-winning landscaped gardens that run down towards the shore of Llyn Tegid, with the market town of Bala a short stroll away along the lakeside path.
Bedrooms are furnished with individual period pieces and all have en-suite bathrooms, some with whirlpool baths, while a drawing room with library and open fire gives guests somewhere to relax in the evening. Breakfast is home-cooked, with freshly baked bread, free-range eggs and home-made preserves, and special diets are catered for on request.
Its position right on the lake, away from the bustle of the High Street, makes it a favourite for guests who want a peaceful country stay with the water on their doorstep.
