Tent and motorhome campsite in the Peak District village of Bamford with shower facilities.
About Hope Valley Holidays
Hope Valley Holidays sits in Bamford, a small settlement in the heart of the Peak District. The surrounding landscape is characteristic of the White Peak area—rolling moorland, limestone hills and river valleys that make this part of Derbyshire popular with walkers and outdoor enthusiasts. The location puts you within reach of high ground and footpaths without being remote or isolated.
The site takes both tent pitches and motorhome pitches, with showers provided. Pitches start from £27 per night. Bamford itself is a working village with a handful of shops and pubs rather than a tourist resort, which shapes what you get here: a practical base rather than an entertainment venue. The nearby hills, including Mam Tor and Lose Hill, draw most visitors, as do the rivers and caves that characterise the valley.

What visitors say
Such a lovely weekend away. Great location. Fab communication ♥️ Lovely spacious campsite. My 2 small kids loved the games room. (No screens thank goodness 😅) We did a lovely walk from the campsite to The Yorkshire bridge (near lady bower reservoir) .

I went a few months ago to Glenbrook Outdoor Activity Centre to camp for my DofE Expedition, and I totally don't recommend camping at this campsite. Firstly, for 100-200 children, there was one cubicle and 3 urinals in the boys toilets, and similar in the girls toilets. In the boys toilets, none of the taps were working and the urinals weren't draining and the toilet wasn't flushing. It was atrocious! The whole toilet block was just in a small caravan! The camping area itself was good, but the toilets let the site down, form 5 stars to 2.

Not hot water or water in the showers or sinks for that matter. Spiders and webs in the shower. To few toilets and showers for the amount of traffic here. The grounds itself is good, but the amenities poor! Having a cold shower was not how I expected to end the day after a 14mile walk!!!!!

Love this place. Great location for youngsters to experience the Peaks. Comfy rooms for adults and children. Well equipped kitchen. Dry room for the inevitable wet kit. Good size common room for group meals and social meetings.
