What visitors say
We had the pleasure of using the hut to get ready for our wedding. My (now) husband and his son spent the afternoon at the badgers den, it’s a fantastic location surrounded by nature which made for a very peaceful wedding afternoon away from the chaos! It was absolutely spotless and looks amazing in our wedding photos. James is a great host, Crystal clear communication and very knowledgeable about the local area. It’s very conveniently close to lots of wedding venues so if you’re attending an Oxfordshire or Warwickshire wedding definitely check them out! 🌿

We had a great weekend at Badgers Den. James was a brilliant host, he was there to greet us and showed us all the amenities of the hut and outside areas. Also how to lower the built in bed when it was needed, a very clever space saving solution! Also he had left a couple of beers, bottle of wine and milk in the fridge which was a nice touch! We particularly enjoyed the log burner in the evenings which really kept the hut warm and toasty. Having visited in April we were lucky enough to catch lambing season, the 10 day old lambs in the fields directly outside the hut were adorable and really did add to the stay. The weather was a bit hit and miss but we did manage to enjoy one evening outside under the stars with the firepit lit which was lovely. Had a couple of inquisitive little lambs appear at the fence which was a welcome sight! We did come and go as we pleased in the car, Bourton on the Water is an hours drive away and well worth a visit, known locally as Little Venice you will see why with mini footbridges over the river throughout the village, we also paid a visit to Clarksons Farm and his pub The Farmers Dog whilst we were not too far away from them. There are a couple of local pubs and a cafe within walking distance or Banbury is only a 5 minute drive away. So all in all we had a fantastic weekend away and will be recommending this hidden gem. We stayed here for a couple of days at the end of April. The Badgers Den is absolutely brilliant, the views are amazing. There is a log burner inside the hut, gas hob, fridge with small freezer department including everything else needed in the kitchen. The bed was really comfortable. We loved the outside seating area including a gas BBQ. We will definately be coming back.

What a fantastic place and in beautiful surroundings! We stayed over the Easter period and got to see the newborn lambs playing in the fields. Our hosts were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us, and were very knowledgeable about the area. With the heavy rain, we were unable to take advantage of the walks across the fields, but venturing to Cropredy for a lovely meal at the pub was only a 20 minute walk. The hut itself was great, everything was clean, well presented and actually a lot bigger inside than it looks. Cannot wait to come back, we’ve already booked our next stay!
