Well after 397 miles and 8 days of cycling I'm finally home. Along the way I've stayed at several campsites and this one was just exceptional. It's nestled not to far from Banchory yet still far enough to feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. The hosts are a treasure to the site and are both welcoming and lovely. The toilet and shower facilities where immaculate and modern with a view to saving electricity and water which is always a bonus. The site itself is well laid out and fairly sheltered. After all the campsites i stayed on this one was a breath of fresh air and i can't wait to return. Had a blissful night's sleep with the rain helping me drift off. Highly recommend here if you like peace and quiet with a lovely backdrop.

Very good place to stay with a family - 2 adults and toddler. Amenities very good for a baby changing and disabled person. Toilets organised and clean to a very high standard. Great showers with heated space. Great location pitch for a large tent. Owners are super nice and explained everything in detail. Fab kids play area with safe equipment. We just loved it and definitely will be back in the future !

We stayed at this site for two nights last weekend with our two young kids and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I was met on arrival by the very friendly owners, who were welcoming and provided me with a map and the guidelines for their site. They explained the layout and where to find everything and helped me find a pitch. Despite the windy Scottish weather our pitch (pitch 9) was well sheltered by trees and right next to the playpark which the kids loved. The park itself is well equipped and maintained with plenty to keep them busy. They do ask that there are no ball games or frisbees on site which is perfectly reasonable and is to prevent damage to surrounding caravans. There is a large park in Strachan only 2 miles away with space for ball games if needed. The site itself is tidy and well maintained, with a wide entrance and access was easy with caravan in tow. We found the toilet block and showers warm and very clean, which made them comfortable to use. A really enjoyable stay and will definitely be returning, only this time we will remember cash for the chip van that comes on a Friday evening!
