About Coed Menai Camping
Tucked into the wooded grounds of Treborth Hall near Bangor, Coed Menai Camping offers a peaceful retreat within easy reach of both Snowdonia and the North Wales coast. The spacious grass pitches are backed by mature trees, creating a secluded, almost wild feel despite being just 10 minutes from the A55. It's a no-frills setup – there's a toilet block with washing-up sinks, though showers and baths cost extra – but the tranquil setting and spectacular scenery more than compensate.
The site welcomes families, walkers, motorcyclists and even Duke of Edinburgh groups, though dogs aren't permitted. Menai Bridge village lies just over a mile away, with several pubs serving food, while a garden centre café is five minutes on foot. For bigger shops and attractions, Bangor and historic Caernarfon are both under 15 minutes by road.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We stayed at Riverside Campsite this weekend with a group of friends, and we had a fantastic time. The campsite is in a beautiful, picturesque setting with stunning surroundings that make it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the facilities were excellent—well maintained and with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. It’s a brilliant campsite for families, couples, or groups of friends alike. The location is ideal too, especially if you’re planning to explore Snowdonia, with easy access to some of the area’s most popular walking routes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a friendly, clean, and peaceful campsite in a fantastic location!

Our cabin was amazing. Admittedly there were only two of us staying in something that could sleep six so we had loads of personal space! The cabin was tucked away from the main camping area, right next to the river. So quiet and peaceful. The hot tub being an added bonus. Will definitely stay there again

Just got back from an Amazing weekend camping here. Loved every minute of it. The site is immaculate, showers and toilets always clean and never had to queue even on a busy bank holiday weekend. The location is so beautiful with the river running through. We ate at the Mill Bistro on site twice and the food was great. We loved hiring a fire pit and sitting out having a fire in the evening. Caernarfon is very close and a lovely place to visit. The staff were all amazing especially Catherine the owner very helpful nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much for a great stay. We cant wait to return soon.

Just left Riverside Camping after an amazing 7 night stay. So here is the low down....we were on an electric grass pitch, so flat which made it really easy setting up our Opus Camper, right on the edge of the river. You do need to purchase electricity, they recommend £5 a night, we only used half of thus even with our Opus electric heater on each night, anything which you dont use, gets refunded. There are really good facilities with 2 shower blocks, with plenty of toilet and shower cubicles. Hairdryers also in both the ladies and mens. One key thing I find when camping is with long thick hair, sometimes the showers can make hair washing a nightmare, sounds stupid but a powerful shower is key and Riverside didnt disappoint, the showers in the block under the bistro were just perfect. There is also plenty of washing facilities as well, for the pots and pans but also a laundry room. They allow firepits / bbq, as long as you pop some heat bricks down to protect the grass, they have them available to borrow in the reception area. They also have firepits to borrow, with fire logs, kindling and fire lighters all available in the well stocked shop on site. You cant burn normal logs due to risk of fire from sparks which is completely understandable. There is also a games room and a bistro on site (this is not run by Riverside Camping). We didn't eat in the bistro, tried to get in one evening but fully booked, so I think that says it all! The menu did look good though. For those of you who want to stay connected, we found there to be some 5G available (we're on EE) and there is also WiFi available. And then for your 4 legged friends, they are very welcome, the do need to be on leads the whole time even in the river ( again understandable), and there is a wooded dog walking area. There is absolutely nothing I could fault about this site, we are already looking at dates as to when to come back.
