What visitors say

Absolutely amazing stay at Marshlands Alpaca Campsite.. easily one of the best campsites we have ever visited fom the moment we arrived.. we were made to feel so welcome by the lovely owners who clearly care so much about the site and their guests. The campsite itself is spotless, peaceful and beautifully maintained. The pitches are spacious and the facilities are immaculate. Everything has been thought out to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. The on-site bar is such a brilliant touch too .. friendly atmosphere, great drinks and perfect for unwinding in the evening. The alpacas are the stars of the show! They’re adorable and such a unique addition that makes this place really special. Seeing them up close was definitely a highlight of our trip. We also loved how dog-friendly the site is with plenty of space to walk and relax. It’s the perfect adults only getaway if you want peace, comfort and something a little different from the usual campsite experience. Honestly couldn’t fault a thing. We left already planning our next visit. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a chilled, friendly, and unforgettable stay. 10/10!

A fantastic site that caters for Motorhomes, Caravans and has a glamping lodge plus now a glamping dome. The toilets and showers and exceptionally clean and tidy. The site also benefits from its own on site pub called the Alpaca Arms which has on certain evenings theme nights, entertainment making it an amazing social place to enjoy a drink, eat great food and chat with others. The highlights are firstly the Alpacas in the adjacent field, they are wonderful and for a small fee you can feed them in the morning, my partner Dawn said this made her day. The other highlight to the site are the owners and hosts - Julie and her husband, both friendly and wonderful people. We look forward to coming again and will now be a regular stop for us.

Motorhome holiday. Fabulous site. Made to feel very welcome. Amenities spotless, with plenty of hot water. Alpaca feeding time is the best part of the day. Pub open most evenings, which very dog friendly. Definitely on our list for a return visit.

Best campsite so far on our travels. Level pitch, very well maintained. Spotless showers and toilet block. Very peaceful site but with a lively bar. Everybody on site very friendly. Owners welcoming and helpful. Resident alpacas are a wonderful bonus that you can feed at 09.30 for a small fee. Really enjoyed the stay and will book again but for a longer stay.
