What visitors say
What a great stay. We picked Cherry Tree for two reasons initially, firstly it's location which is close enough to Legoland which was on the itinerary for two days and also it's location to Newbury train station for access to London. Secondly, for the hot tub! The location was amazing, spacious and quiet considering how close to Newbury it was. All the lodges appeared in good condition and well spaced apart. Our Lodge was a two bed (queen size), with hot tub, which apparently is the smallest they have...it was huge, large open plan kitchen living room with all the required amenities. One bedroom with a massive en-suite including a freestanding bath, shower and double sink. Another large bedroom and large bathroom. The lodge also had a large veranda around the outside with outdoor seating and the hot tub. It was perfect for a weeks stay/relax after Legoland and London Trips. The service was also great, I was sent a text on the day of arrival to confirm all they key information and Cheryl responded very quickly to any questions I had. She also went out of her way to provide a pack of goodies for my son on our arrival. We will be back.

Just arrived. Phone call before we arrived giving access details for gates and lodge key. Very friendly. As we arrived at our lodge met two of the maintenance team. Very helpful guys. Have patience as you drive in as you have to go through an industrial estate.....but you come to a lovely quiet setting. Well worth coming to. There is a canal /river walk into Newbury.....but haven't done that yet. A car ride to a large Tesco store there is also a Lidl and an M & S food stop as part of a petrol station. You pass all these as you drive in. There is also a Sainsbury's in Newbury. The accommodation we have is large, very clean and tidy. 3 beds two en suite plus bathroom with bath. If I'm going to be picky a TV in the the main bedroom would be nice and a WiFi connection would be great......but using a hot-spot connection is not the end of my world. We are here fir a weekend but feel like staying for a week or two.

The most wonderful weekend here away with friends. The team truly went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. The hot tub was great, lovely and warm and the robes and slippers are such a brilliant addition as there was a chill in the air when we got out. Thank you so much to Cheryl for being so friendly handling our numerous requests. My only small quibble is that the sofa is a bit of a squeeze for 6 adults but really I'm nit picking. We will definitely be back as the location is excellent. We had such a good time I didn't take many photos, other than the puzzle we completed! Thank you 😊

The house is in a quiet area, so we were able to see a deer. It was near Newbury which has all different shops and facilities. The host was nice and welcoming. The house looked nice, but a bit dated. The bath had a lot of rust. The water was cold on arrival, we solved it by changing the switch. Most of the house was clean, but the ceilings had cobwebs. The hot tub was a nice addition. Didn't like it that there was a scary looking man knocking on our door asking if he could check the quality of the hottub, maybe they can let people know this will be done beforehand. The baby cot had no matrass only the hard thing you put at the bottom. The matrasses of the beds were too soft and squeaky. We slept on a tufted matrass, probably very old, the buttons were coming out and it was not comfortable. There was no proper coffeemaker, only a caffetiere. There was an open bathroom in the bedroom but no curtains for the bathroom windows or proper ventilation. And last, there were so many rules, it made us wonder what kind of people come to this place. One rule for the kids was they can't walk or play at the grass next to the houses. Which didn't make us feel very welcome with kids. We liked the house overall, but it could be improved
