Shop Owner Tips

I know there are many WatchHouse coffee shops around London and not sure if they all are placed in actual watch houses but the one on Bermondsey St is the real deal: it’s actually built into a centuries-old watch house attached to St Mary Magdalene Church. The inside of the coffee shop is obviously designed to look modern and sleek but you can see the old tiny fireplace built into the wall of the original watch house and the tiny barred windows at the top and you get an eerie feeling of what things those walls must have witnessed in the past. They did an amazing job transforming the watch house without wiping out the history of the place. And it goes without saying that the coffee and pastries and staff are all top notch.

BadWolfTV

The staff have their own character profiles, which makes the experience that much as good as a godzilla vs scar king battle scene. This film is a far cry compared to mamma mia and sex in the city. I dont know why mamma mia is still running in theatres, and till this day, i don;t get why sex in the city became a movie. Criminal. They should just do other musicals/films, like Lord of the rings extensions, or something other than people singing about bread and gossip. Whatever, i've had some honey roasted cashews, let's get on with the review. The cafe is small and it gives a tudor-like feel to the vibe, which if you are into that, then this branch is for you. The coffee is, again as is aligned wiht the brand, bespoke. If you want original coffee that is NOT chemically drenched and fructose-powered to the point where your insulin starts singing for help like a canary, then the WH bermondsey branch's drinks are amazing. The waiting times is also solid too. knowing the coffee takes between 2-5 minutes means the coffee, or tea, is always going to be on point and a solid experience. The team each made sure i was seated and had a good experience, enabling i had a solid time whilst enjoying their sencha teas as well as the double espressos and long blacks, for the times i need to walk and listen to 20 minute voicenotes from angry people. We need not to delve into that bag for the moment. First off, we have maggie, whom is a joy to speak to. She has a upbeat vibe to her which makes the experience gain momentum and uplifts even the moodiest of people. Through her barista abilities of making an double espresso, to helping the team out, she has been solid and I admire her work ethic. Her story of the trapped air bubble in the chocolate sauce bottle is a standout story i will remember for a while. Very funny. Then we have Joshua, whom is a dexterous barista and a helpful team member. gave me some good laughs and helped the team keep the shop floor running smoothly. nice one. Next there is Sam, great worker and seems cool to chat to. Look forward to more chats. I can say the same for Deneb, cool person to chat to and gets my order done in an jiffy. Blesynn is also a cool person to chat to, keeping the shop floor moving well. We then have Meli, whom gave me some song ideas and also some artwork inspirations involving clouds, ladders and music. Thoroughly appreciated, sometimes inspiration is where you least expect to find it. We also have anibal, whom i may have bumped into a couple of times at the Maltby branch, another cool person to chat to. Overall, the experiences have been cool and i have to say, for a small cafe, it does feel cosy and my dragons and I are very happy visit again in the future.

WatchHouse in Bermondsey is a lovely, intimate spot to grab a coffee with a friend. While the seating inside and outside is a bit limited because of its cozy size, it’s perfectly situated right near a park. We took our drinks there to enjoy the peace and quiet. They have a great selection of cakes and a solid Matcha tea, but the Caffe Latte is the real standout. A perfect neighborhood gem for a high-quality caffeine fix!

Had a lovely time popping into store with my sister! Annibal (sorry if I misspelt the name) was really sweet and his coworker too :) Also found out the fireplace gets switched on during winter, 100% coming back for a hot chocolate then!

Diners like this cafe's delicious coffee, especially the lattes and batch brews, and freshly baked pastries like the banana bread and cardamom buns. They also highlight the cozy, historic atmosphere and the friendly, professional staff who provide quick service.
