Beautiful part of North Wales, since going for the first time my partner and I have been back at least four times in the past few months. It's got a perfect mix of walks/hikes from easy to strenuous, a great selection of shops, cafes and a few restaurants. Lots of parking but can be expensive - you can pay with cash and card in most of them, I believe. There's a lovely river (Afon Llugwy) running through the village meeting the River Conwy just north of Betws-y-Coed, we've been there when there's been a lot of rain and the river is a roaring spectacle, and also during some really hot weather when its full of people swimming and playing on the rocks and under the waterfall. We also did a hike up to Llyn Parc starting from just behind the car park next to Cunninghams - strenuous but worth it for the views.

Wonderful place to come for a walk along the river. There is parking in various places and picnic benches in the village at the river side where you are start your walk along the river and back. If you stop off in the co-op before you go you can pick up some hot food to take with you. There are many fairly easy walks to go on around Betws-y-coed. There are many many dog walers here now, so be careful where you and your children step as not every owner clears up after their dog.

A truly scenic village and a must-visit destination in Snowdonia. The forest trail running alongside the river is breathtakingly beautiful. The path also leads to Fairy Glen, which is an absolute must see.
