What visitors say

Happily Wandering

Please take care on the single track road that leads up to the house. A small property in the middle of nowhere. We have come across the name William Morgan in many churches we have visited. It was nice to see where he was born. What a lovely spot, so peaceful, but the winters must have been harsh. The two guides on today were knowledgeable, friendly and eager to tell the story. Downside, no cafe or shop. They do have toilet facilities. Ideal spot to each lunch

We took a visit to the unique National Trust property Tŷ Mawr Wybrnant on our last day in Wales... This is a beautifully preserved 16th-century Welsh farmhouse, best known as the birthplace of Bishop William Morgan, whose pioneering translation of the Bible into Welsh helped preserve the Welsh language... There's a rare copy of his 1588 Bible on display along with many other versions from across the world in different languages...

Lovely place to visit, very quiet and peaceful at least it was when we went there. Shame the library was closed, but well worth the drive to it.

Peaceful, beautiful place. Loved the QR codes on the walk and in the gardens. Worth a listen!
