About Belle Vue Farm Touring Caravan Site
Belle Vue Farm sits just outside Stanhope in the Durham Dales, offering panoramic valley views from its quiet, adult-only pitches. The site welcomes campervans and caravans (no tents) and enforces a strict pet-free policy, making it particularly appealing to those who prefer a calmer atmosphere without dogs. Electric hook-ups, showers, toilets and drinking water cover the basics, though there's no WiFi – which suits the peaceful, back-to-nature character here.
The location works well for exploring Weardale's market towns and moorland walks, with Stanhope's stone village a short drive away. Some visitors note the facilities can feel a touch dated, but most appreciate the tranquillity and those sweeping Pennine views. It's a straightforward, no-frills base for couples or solo tourers wanting scenery without the usual campsite bustle.

What visitors say
Well, what can I say? This is the perfect place to stay if you like peace and quiet with beautiful views. The village is just at the bottom of the hill which is a 30 minute walk or 5 minutes in the car. There are a few pubs and restaurants to choose from, also there are plenty of walks to go on as well. I will definitely come back here again, The toilet and the shower was absolutely spotless. I would like to say thank you to Howard and Linda. They were very friendly and Howard was kind enough to loan me an extension lead for my Campervan, as mine was too short. Thank you very much, Howard & Linda.

What a great site. Only 4 pitches and were lucky when we stayed to be the only ones there. Well looked after and fantastic views. Howard the owner was very friendly and welcomed us with a chat about the area and what we could see from the pitch, which was a lot as the views are stunning. Facilities shut due to Covid-19 but would definitely go back and relax again with the sheep lovely site

We spent three nights here and picked it as it is small and an adult only site. We were not disappointed..the owners Howard and Linda were really welcoming and Howard took the time to explain some of the visible features of the region. The views were spectacular and it was an easy walk into Stanhope which has shops and pubs. The walk back up to the site was a bit long and steep but we managed !! All in all a lovely hidden gem. Toilet facilities were immaculate. We took a trip to Beamish for the day..about an hours drive but well worth it.

This is a wonderfully peaceful site with amazing views across the local landscape. Linda and Howard are extremely friendly hosts who are welcoming and helpful. Harry the dog is just as amiable. The facilities are clean with a fantastic shower. We will definitely visit again.
