Our Welsh Caravan and Camping

What a hidden gem. It has pristine toilets and showers. Electric pitches which I was able to use with my tent and a 3 pin mains. Open field. Reception. Kitchen with washing up facilities and kettle (£1 for 1 hour plug socket in the kitchen including for the washing machine use). It had board games, books and we even had a takeaway from the local Gwennies pizza. Coop up the road for our evening meal and although you can't have open flame you can have charcoal. But we took a George foreman to grill on with our electric pitch. Very quiet place. You can hear the river all night long. Like a babling brook. Sheep and goats around. Nice trek straight opposite camp site. Lovely lady checked us in and gave us tips. You get a code during check in that you can use to gain entry and exit to the barriers. You can come and go as much as you want. All noisey activities must end by 10pm but it's generally quite anyway. It was nice and quite midweek.

Lovely campsite, clean facilities, nice spot by the river. Co-op 3min drive up the road, on a cycle route, take away deliveries available but we didn’t get chance to try them. The lady running the campsite was helpful and friendly. Electric hook ups had taps on which was really handy.

What a great campsite! Beautiful, perfect location between Welsh beauty spots. There is a river right next to it so you wake up to the sound of birds and water. Warm showers and a small kitchen are available, alongside clean toilets and a wetsuit cleaning point. Some table and chairs are available for communal use around the campsite, but in all fairness people were taking over these and encorporating them in their camps. Also in terms of shops and stuff - perfect. 2 min away from us there was coop that works will 10pm including Sundays, skate park and ice cream place. Perfect really. Some issues include: no charging facility - there are no plugs in the kitchen, there is actually one plug, but it is paid, one pound per hour. There is toaster and a kettle you can plug or your own electric cooker for that price. There are some small USB and USBc plugs so you can charge stuff, but it is just that it is very, very slow and there are just a couple of them for the entire campsite. A phone will take 2h to change half of the battery. The idea is that you dont plug like a hair straightener or something that consumes loads of power, but just charge your phone or battery bank. So makes sense, but was an inconvenience. With this in mind hairdryer or microwave are not available obviously. No campsite fire is another one. No open flames, no firepits. Also there is wedding venue nearby so you might hear some late night music which wasn't like super intrusive but still you could hear some bass.

Good campsite - pitches slightly tight so check your tent before you arrive. Friendly staff, good clean facilities
