New Promenade Hotel

Just stayed here for a few days, its perfectly adequate & the person who runs it can't do enough for you. Breakfast was fine and it was a warm cosy stay in winter, we will be back

Absolutely disgusting this place, I will not be coming back to that place, me and partner had to book another hotel because the room we had was awful, doesn’t give you a full refund, not the happiest guy I definitely WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

We decided to try somewhere more central for our visit and this looked like a good start... From the outside, this building does look like it's had many add-ons and overall had a bit of a neglected appearance. Our welcome at the desk was very casual, more of a 'who are you and what do you want' attitude. Keys were given, and we were pointed into the direction of our room. The room itself was basic, a 'get what you pay for' standard. Overall it was clean and covered the very basics. I can't deny that the beds weren't comfortable and by day three my shoulder and neck here pretty stiff. For £6 PP per day, you can get a breakfast which was actually very well cooked! A choice from a small English, hot or cold drinks and a choice of cereal - This was probably the best part of our stay! In terms of value for money; again, you get what you pay for and that is a very basic room, facilities and service yet the location is excellent.

"The hotel was perfectly adequate — clean, comfy, did the job. As for the guy who checked us in, let’s just say he won’t be winning Mr. Congeniality anytime soon. He looked like he'd lost a bet and had to be there all weekend. Still, 10/10 for consistency — he stayed grumpy the whole time!
